I don’t just love acting, I love films, and I don’t just love films, I love good stories.
I’m a dual national of the US and Georgia, currently based in NYC and training at the Lee Strasberg 2 Year Conservatory. I am no leading man, I am a character actor. Having a background that goes from growing up on a peaceful Georgian farm to serving in the US Air Force gives me a lot of different life to pull from. I bring that contrast to the screen, whether that means playing a grounded, quiet family man or an absolute unhinged wildcard.
And do it in variety of accents or languages.
I was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. One of my first memories are of growing up in the small town of Sagarejo, about an hour’s drive from Tbilisi. My grandparents had a small farm there, one of those storybook farms where they had a couple of cows, some pigs, and a flock of chickens that could fit in two coops. It was a peaceful childhood, despite it being 1990s post-Soviet Georgia. My parents were successful veterinarians, and they supplied my grandparents' farm with some amenities while they worked in Tbilisi. Even though we only had several hours of electricity per day, we had a VCR and dozens of black-market VHS tapes of American movies with horrible Russian dubbing. This is when it began, the first drops of interest in movies that would become an integral part of my personality and daily life.
During my early to high school years, I lived in Tbilisi. While those years are full of memories of joy, they are most definitely not related to school. Though I will say, I would not have it any other way. Every moment in my life was integral to leading me where I am now.
Right after high school, I started attending the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, but dropped out after a year because I decided to work instead and live more. In 2015, I started at an art college in Prague, studying Graphic Design and later Fine Art. It still wasn’t it. So, I dropped out again. In 2017, I met my loving wife. We soon moved in together, got married in 2021, and a year later we moved to the United States. Soon after, I joined the US Air Force. We were stationed in Colorado Springs, where my wife gave birth to our beautiful daughter in 2023. I loved serving this country, and I’m grateful for the opportunity it gave me to finally achieve what I always had to do, which is acting. After completing my service, we moved to NYC, where I enrolled at the Lee Strasberg 2 Year Conservatory, and I am currently halfway through the program.
I enjoy a variety of movies, be it Ikiru or Re-Animator, A Simple Plan or Big Trouble in Little China. Honestly, to circle back, it’s not about acting, it’s about creation. I’m just as much of a device as a Sony camcorder. I’m here to contribute to making an opus. And I aim to be a high-def Sony, rather than a blurry gas station security camera.
And don’t get me started on my love of graphic novels from all corners of this pale blue dot.
